Trity Environ Solutions is a trusted effluent treatment plant manufacturer in West Bengal, building industrial wastewater systems for tannery and leather units, chemical and food plants, and engineering factories around Kolkata and across the state. With a long history of effluent scrutiny, it designs plants that handle chrome, COD, and dissolved solids and recover water, with pan India installation support behind every project. Trity Environ Solutions designs, manufactures, and commissions each plant in-house, from effluent analysis to handover.
Kolkata's tannery industry is the best documented effluent story in West Bengal, and it is old. A 2002 Down To Earth report described about 550 tanneries being given a Supreme Court deadline of 28 February 2002 to shift or stop production, with owners leaving Tangra, Tiljala, Topsia, and Pagladanga for the Calcutta Leather Complex at Bantala. A six-module common effluent plant of about 30 million litres was planned, with chrome recovery units. A state pollution board study cited in that report put wastewater at about 30 to 40 kilolitres per tonne of processed hide, with roughly five per cent chrome liquor, and a CLRI report put daily BOD discharge at 48 tonnes, chromium at 12 tonnes, and total dissolved substances at 600 tonnes. A 2007 trade report described a second phase of that plant, revised to Rs 135.44 crore, for more than 500 relocated tanneries.
Those numbers are two decades old and the complex has changed since, but they show what leather effluent contains and why shared plants alone were never expected to carry the burden. A unit that relies on a common plant still has to arrive at its inlet norms, and one that discharges elsewhere has to meet West Bengal Pollution Control Board (WBPCB) consent on its own. Trity Environ Solutions builds effluent treatment plants for tannery, chemical, food, and engineering units, around your own wastewater analysis rather than a template.

Treatment trains for chrome bearing, high BOD, and high TDS wastewater from leather processing.
Treatment trains fixed after sampling your own discharge, since a tannery, a food unit, and a foundry never produce the same wastewater.
Pre-treatment sized to a common plant's inlet norms, so your effluent does not push the shared plant out of limits.
Treated water returned to process washing and cooling, which cuts fresh water and tanker demand.
Installation, operator training, and AMC response across West Bengal's industrial belts, backed by Trity's engineering team.
A common plant is sized for typical inlet water, so a unit that sends high chrome or high COD effluent into it pushes the plant, and then itself, outside limits. Pre-treatment with sampling points and a dated record of treated water quality is the strongest position when WBPCB inspects. Where a unit also wants to cut fresh water use, a wastewater recycling system can be added after the main treatment train.
Dosing pumps drift, membranes foul, and sludge handling slips when nobody watches them, which is how a plant that passed commissioning ends up in a notice. Trity Environ Solutions supports every West Bengal installation with operator training, performance checks, and an Annual Maintenance Contract, so chemical dosing and sludge handling stay within consent limits. Talk to our team about AMC coverage for your facility.
Chrome bearing and chemical sludge can be cut in volume with a filter press for sludge dewatering. For projects in neighbouring states, Trity Environ Solutions also serves clients as an STP and ETP plant manufacturer in Jharkhand and an STP and ETP plant manufacturer in Odisha, so eastern India projects can be handled by one team.
This page covers industrial effluent only. For domestic sewage from housing, hospitals, and hotels, see the sewage treatment plant manufacturer in West Bengal page. The combined overview of both services is on the STP and ETP plant manufacturer in West Bengal page.
Our chemical industry effluent treatment plant handles high COD, acidic, alkaline, and difficult process water.
Our physico-chemical effluent treatment plant removes metals and suspended solids through pH correction, coagulation, flocculation, and clarification.
Our food and beverage effluent treatment plant handles the high organic load from processing and packaged food units.
Our wastewater recycling system polishes treated effluent through ultrafiltration and RO so it can return to the process.
Our zero liquid discharge system recovers water through filtration, membranes, and evaporation, for units that are required or choose to send no effluent out of the site.
Flow measurement and sampling establish your actual load, including chrome, COD, and TDS.
Technology and layout are fixed against WBPCB consent conditions, available footprint, and reuse targets.
Components are manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 quality controls, then installed and commissioned by Trity's site team.
The plant is tested against consent limits, operators are trained, and ongoing AMC support keeps performance consistent afterward.
The West Bengal Pollution Control Board (WBPCB) issues consent to establish and consent to operate, alongside CPCB guidelines and National Green Tribunal directions.
Yes. Leather effluent carries chrome, high BOD, and high TDS, so the system is designed from your own effluent analysis, with chrome handling and a sludge plan.
Often yes. Units usually need pre-treatment to meet the common plant's inlet norms, and a plant of your own is the safer position when discharge is closely inspected.
Recycling returns part of the treated water to the process. Zero liquid discharge recovers essentially all the water and evaporates the rest, so no liquid effluent leaves the site.
Prefabricated modular plants typically commission within 45 to 90 days, while civil-based plants for larger capacities take 3 to 6 months from design approval to handover.
Yes. We audit existing plants, retrofit capacity or technology, and take them under an annual maintenance contract.
Look for in-house manufacturing, experience with WBPCB consent requirements, a design based on your own wastewater analysis, and a clear maintenance offering after commissioning. Trity Environ Solutions builds its plants under ISO 9001:2015 quality controls and supports every installation with operator training and an annual maintenance contract.
Our engineering team can help design the right system for your capacity, industry, and compliance requirements.
