The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has issued a public advisory alerting residents of South Delhi about an imminent water supply disruption. The disruption, slated to last for two days, is necessitated by essential repair work scheduled to commence today, October 4, and continue until October 5.

 

In a statement released through official channels, the DJB urged residents to take proactive measures in preparation for the temporary water supply interruption. Storing an adequate quantity of water is recommended to ensure the smooth functioning of daily activities during this period.

Areas Affected: The areas anticipated to experience water supply disruption from today evening include:

 

  • Okhla Phase-1 and 3
  • Kalkaji
  • Kalkaji Extension
  • Govindpuri
  • Sri Niwaspuri
  • GB Pant Polytechnic
  • Shyam Nagar Colony
  • Okhla sabzi mandi (vegetable market)
  • Lajpat Nagar
  • Amar Colony
  • East of Kailash
  • Adjoining areas

 

Additionally, residents of Chittaranjan Park (formerly known as EPDP colony) should note that their water supply will be halted a few hours ahead of other affected areas.

In certain areas, including Prahladpur, Tehkhand, Tughlakabad Village, Sanam Vihar, Ambedkar Nagar, and Devli, water pressure may be notably reduced.
